Marc Yankus of New York City is an artist I really adore. In his photo series entitled Call It Sleep he explores memory, architecture, stationary calmness and unique photomontages of figures captured within bottles. When taking a first glance at his work, his images seem too amazing to be real (a young girl captured in a bottle). It is interesting how his photos are composed of two worlds: the real and the imagined. I love how he captures a sense of old world and modern day in a dreamlike fashion that evokes a sense of calmness, serenity and innocence.
