Posted on May 17, 2012 by wolf

The US ANavy created a hover board that ran off fans back in 1955. Cool in archival footage and maybe evil cool in engineering at the time…but seriously ridiculous looking and that makes this video awesome!

How To Open a Beer Bottle with a Chainsaw!

Posted on May 17, 2012 by wolf

Here’s one of those valuable life lessons you don’t learn in school because it is in fact totally impractical and you could just use a lighter or table or a pile of other things to pull this off…but I guess there is no showmanship in that…and it is pretty cool….

A Dog and His Inconvenient Toy….

Posted on May 17, 2012 by wolf

I am a dog lover….so seeing this dog trying to get inside with the rake he has decided is his new toy….is funny…obsessively trying but not figuring out quite how to make it happen no matter how determined he is…putting things in perspective for me…while entertaining…

Sounds of Aronofsky

Posted on May 16, 2012 by wolf

Here is a weird edit that probably would have annoyed me if a fellow student submitted this back in my college film class, but I guess with age comes tolerance, and if anything I have evolved into appreciating these sound and video edits from some of Aronofsky movies…..In fact…I find it pretty damn cool…

Vinyl Record Trick Shot

Posted on May 14, 2012 by wolf

Here is a pretty awesome video of some Vinyl Trick shots….you know that bring back memories of a time DJs actually used vinyl… Sure they did not use vinyl to throw at record players as stunts… but I am sure glad these kids did cuz these stunts they impress me and I am glad they happened.

How a Bicycle Was Made in 1945

Posted on May 14, 2012 by wolf

I love archival footage. Wolf & Harrison is all about drawing inspiration from our past, so from old magazines to old film strips we love taking it in.

I also love biking. It has been a life long passion that I can not explain but assume started at 5 when I first learned how to ride, got more intense at 15 when I learned about mountain biking and that continues today recreationally.

Most importantly, I love bicycles. In design and function. This video is from 1945 and covers how a bike was made. Possibly a dry topic to some, but pretty awesome looking back on it.

Icon Bronco

Posted on May 11, 2012 by wolf

I love vintage Broncos. I know a few people who have them and they get more looks than people I know who drive modern expensive cars….because the design is just classic…..rugged and when modified pretty refined. Perfect for a Wolf & Harrison shopper.

Suicide Forest in Japan

Posted on May 10, 2012 by wolf

Vice.com has gone to Japan and shot a very interesting documentary on a forest in Japan where people go to kill themselves.

Sure i is morbid, but really fascinating.

The Aokigahara Forest is the most popular site for suicides in Japan. After the novel Kuroi Jukai was published, in which a young lover commits suicide in the forest, people started taking their own lives there at a rate of 50 to 100 deaths a year. The site holds so many bodies that the Yakuza pays homeless people to sneak into the forest and rob the corpses. The authorities sweep for bodies only on an annual basis, as the forest sits at the base of Mt. Fuji and is too dense to patrol more frequently.
